And back out

The fact that he shows up many hours and posts late only adds to his charm.

.... channeling blakey rather strongly today, aren't we?
Now that he's employed, I guess someone has to.

The old forums are still up. If everyone was still using them, we wouldn't have this problem.
Too bad that will never happen, because people don't work that way.
Pretty sure they're read-only now.

How on $planet did anybody think defining font size as 0.875 times font size ever made sense‽
(yes, I understand that referred to commit that fixed it, but still, it made no eFfing sense in the first place)
Do you understand how ems work? Depending on the context, 0.875em might make perfect sense.
-
well they're read only to me!
-

an em is nominally the with of a capital M in the active font at base size (typically 10 or 12 point depending on font and computer setup)
so a font size of 0.875em is valid as it specifies a size that is 7/8ths the size of the base font... or current font size without that rule applied... i forget the CSS interpretation. the printing interpretation is always off of base font size.
see also the en as a unit of distance

Have a , just for fleshing out my response.

>Bummer
always have been, even before the switch to discourse
Reading that, I thought there was an "I" at the start of the sentence. That would have completely changed the meaning of the post
in case it's not common on the other side of the pond, "bummer" is British slang for a gay man

it's not.
i'm also glad you realized your error. that would have been awkward?
-
so you're saying Discourse didn't turn you gay?
-
well they're read only to me!
I think that's probably the only post I've made on the old forum that's not in a sidebar thread...
-
-
turn me gay?
not possible~! and i've told you the reason why in another thread here!

Yeah, I figure the best approach with you is not to think of you as make or female, just as @accalia
-
-
not to think of you as make
I'm sure @accalia appreciates you not wanting to confuse her with a Linux-based build system

The old forums are still up.
I just looked at my profile to see when I'd last posted over there (today; was 27 Sep), and happened to scroll down far enough to see that I had an unread PM... from June.
For all its many faults, at least Discurse gives you obvious notifications when you get a PM.

I plugged my Id in the card reader.
I tried to pass my ego to a cognitive function, but super.ego() said "Invalid id."

But then the whole clusterfuck is run by Jeff 'Fuck Windows Phone' Atwood. And CDCK's first response?
@TwelveBaud said:Do we have a Mozilla bug number yet?
Do I look like a DiscoDev to you?Obviously CDCK should be running Mochitests on expected vs. actual page screenshots, for Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera, and have someone hand-verify any failures as well as IE. Obviously, they're not doing that, or even having a dev visit the site at all with any of those browsers. That said, Firefox interpreting the weird CSS rule in question the way it does is probably a bug in Firefox, which is why I asked the question. It's still up to CDCK to fix it.
Also, new bug!

My apologies ;)
And stop stealing @accalia's avatar! :P

And stop stealing @accalia's avatar!

i'm going to assume you meant "fair enough" and now what i read the first time....

I think that's probably the only post I've made on the old forum that's not in a sidebar thread...
Uh... that thread is in the sidebar.

That thread is that way.
