Civilised Mute doesn't suppress like notifications from muted users
-
-
That took long...
-
Seems to work for me ...
I muted shadowmod
Requested my stats, left the topic ...
No notification
But there is a new post over there ...
And there is shadowmods reply
-
Guessing it's just broken for likes then?
-
Interesting....
-
Guessing it's just broken for likes then?
That is why I used shadowmod as a test ... I wanted to get a reply ...
But likes by a muted member shouldn't be pooping up too ...
And yes I left that accalia there for shit and giggles

Maybe TL4s are staffy enough that they aren't allowed to mute people?
No, that's backwards.

That'd be weird.
edit: Hanzo.
-
Maybe you have too many users in your mute list?
-
muting too many people isn't civilized enough?
-
I just tested that with my bot, and it worked fine…
-
Anyone else TL4+ tried it?
-
PMs and Posts seem to get muted properly, likes not.
-
I might have found part of the problem.
Note that the screenshot up top was the 3rd time I visited the Preferences page, so it had saved them at some point.
edit: Readded. See how this works.
-
Right... that worked that time. But as @aliceif said, not for likes. Title amended.

-
Beat me to it.

No notification
Which isn't a "like" notification and therefore has nothing to do with the bug as reported.
Do you people work at software companies, or...?
-
The "like" part wasn't part of the initial report. That was added in later.
Originally it didn't seem to suppress anything, but that turned out to be Dischorse being some other type of stupid.
-
has nothing to do with the bug as reported.
So you only test that one scenario the user reported? You don't test to limit and define the scope of the bug? I bet you just open VS and start hitting the keyboard. And then end with some complaining about GIT ...

Nailed it.

You can use
!LikeBot likeme
to test.
edit: seems it died at some point? waiting...

I feel like your GitHub avatar should be hatted. @abarker's heart weeps when he sees this. Do you want to make @abarker sad?
-
I just got an email from GitHub that @sam fixed like notifications being sent from the user who created the post or something.

Indeed.
