Pro-tip: People think you're a douche? Get in fight with an even bigger douche.
Explain blakeyrat.
-
he's the bugger douche that makes us look angelic.
-
-
hmm... nope. i'm not going to correct that misspelling.
Bugger => Formics
-
-
Explain Jeff then.
I can only assume that he gets into fights with Ted Cruz that we don't know about.
-
-
-
Precisely my point. Not sure about this whole Ted Cruz thing.
-
No idea on that either.

Substitude Ed Miliband, then.

Substitude Ed Miliband, then.
He's far too ineffectual to ever be douchy enough to compete with blakeyrat, let alone Teh Jeffster.
-
Tony Blair? UKIP? I don't know your politics that well, just Google Ted Cruz.
-
Ed Miliband is the leader of the Opposition and talks a modestly bad talk on how we can fix the country by basically not doing what those in party are doing, like the Opposition always does. Only he doesn't have anywhere near the charisma to actually back it up.

This should be in the Bad Ideas Thread.

Substitude Ed Miliband, then.
Before or after Myleene Klass? That guy's been a walking disaster area over the past few weeks...
-
He was a disaster pretty much from the off.
-
For those that aren't too aware, this idiot wants to be PM of the UK. And there's an outside chance he may make it.

PR disaster - being pictured with a newspaper that denigrated victims of the Hillsborough disaster which is still a sore point with a lot of his party's core voters. He's a Jew("-ish athiest". His words.) Probably why he's pulling those faces while eating a bacon sandwich... Giving 2p to a beggar.
Being careless with a cup. In an of itself rather innocuous. Taken with the other stuff though...Then there was last night's Klass incident (couldn't defend party policy questions against a pop artist.)
Oh - lets not forget his brother:
-
His brother is probably a better candidate.
And, yes, I suspect he will have a reasonable chance of being the next PM simply because the current shower have been that bad. Though I wouldn't rule out Farage being the next PM either at this stage. Even the mudslinging doesn't appear to be hurting him.
-
This should be in the Bad Ideas Thread.
That would be a bad idea itself. Why do you hate America?

I thought spilling tea made you an automatic pariah in the UK?

I have no idea - not do I care - what was in the cup.

Ted Cruz
He's one of my favorite Senators. Way better than anyone who's ever represented me there.
-
Haven't we seen some of these photos before? I still don't know who this guy is, but...
Spilling a cup: big deal. Physical agility isn't important for leadership. It's completely irrelevant unless you want to make him look like a Mr Bean style fool, in which case you're just muckraking.
Newspaper: I plead ignorance on the Hillsborough disaster, but like most newspapers the Sun is both trash and popular.
Jew eating bacon: Jewish is an ethnicity as well a religion. If he labels himself Jewish Atheist he's probably not a religious Jew and is aware of the religion/ethnicity difference. The weird faces are because he's using the bottom half of his face to smush his food into smaller pieces to make it easier to digest. It's called mastication. The vulgar term is chewing. I hear it's pretty common.
Giving money to a beggar: Don't feed the seagulls, it just encourages them. It's a bad idea.
Banana: Don't judge a man by what his brother does. Also bananas are funny. He's laughing at it.
I assume there's some more background going on here that you haven't made us aware of. Without that background those pictures aren't very meaningful and certainly don't say "Don't vote for this guy!"
-
I still don't know who this guy is, but...
He's the Official Opposition Leader. Nearest US equivalent would be whoever would run the US government should the Republicans win the next election and Obama lost. (But: leaky abstractions.)
I assume there's some more background going on here that you haven't made us aware of.
For a leader, either he or his PR people are very bad at photo opportunities, and his party isn't well thought of among certain sections of the population.
Unlike the US, we are no longer under a two-party system of government. We're currently running under 3, and next election may produce 4. Miliband is in charge of one of the two major ones, and PR disasters like this aren't helping his chances of remaining leader of it.
-

We're at about 20ish here. True, only 2 or 3 have any real clout, but still, it's ridiculous.
-
We have the two main parties who have been taking turns in government for ever, plus the Liberal Democrats who always used to get a few seats but never threatened the big boys.
Then at the last election nobody had a majority but the Lib Dems had enough seats, and Labour and Conservative were so close, that going into coalition with either party would push them over. They went with the one closer to a majority and have now probably lost most of their support due to backing down on promises that were never realistic. They have a bit of a history of "We're not actually going to get into power so lets just say whatever sounds good"
The fourth potential party is UKIP, who are apparently popular despite every member who comes to prominence in the media usually being fired because the attention is for something like calling women sluts.
UKIP have one MP, who was previously Conservative and triggered a by election when he switched sides. He was re elected as UKIP. Here is my favourite quote from that by election:
Yes I voted UKIP, the Tory MP has done nothing for years

The Liberal Democrats used to be the Liberal party, and were a major force until the period between WW1 and WW2.
-
Nearest US equivalent
Unlike the US
I'm Australian. We share your bicameral Westminster system, and also some relief from the two-party duopoly of the US. We still have two major parties (one of them is a coalition of two, but it's effectively one party), but we have enough minor parties and independents that they can't just ram through whatever legislation they want.
You still haven't explained why these photos are anything more than a minor embarrassment.

I assumed that you really needed the context of what he says or how he acts or whatever so that these are just representative pictures. Of course, no one off the island pays enough attention to do any of that.
