No argument from me. I ageee, but it has the advantage of allowing me to easily move text between articles and presentations. I mostly work in text anyway, except for the occasional graph. I leave animations and clipart to the management BS:ers.
It all started because our propaganda department don't know how to make a powerpoint template, but that's another story.

What?
WINE is wine, which is neither on the path nor an executable file
WHAT?
WINE is wine
#WHAT?
EDIT:
onyx@jarvis /u/bin> sudo ln -s /usr/bin/wine-development wine
Oh, now it works.
Well... that's nice Debian...

Do mid-thread polls work here now?
[poll]
- Yes (thanks to zogstrip?)
- No
[/poll]
Edit: nope, not yet.
Example on meta:
-
Status: Out bowling for lunch with coworkers. Nice way to unwind after this week.
-
Status: either concurrency is hard or i'm in need of stronger coffee. i have a race condition i should have detected right there in production ¬¬
-
WTF? I don't have any issues with them on my Firefox.
Is that yet another windows vs Linux thing, like Chrome Unicode?
-
Dunno, haven't spent much time in Linux-land lately.

bowling for lunch
Loser pays for lunch?
Also brings to mind an image of a flock of chickens loose in a bowling alley. If you hit one, fried chicken for lunch; if not, well, better luck at dinnertime.

Status: Bought a pack of Cadbury's Giant Buttons. It made an odd thunk when I put it on my desk. Opened the pack to find the entire contents had fused into a craggy mass in the bottom of the bag
Presumably someone was unprepared for the whole four days of sunshine Manchester had this week and they melted into one?

[Jason Derulo]
-
...why?
-
-
none of them because
01234
is parsed as octal long before parseint enters the equation.example:
console.log(01234); console.log(01234 + ''); console.log('' + 01234);
all print 668

Yep, most likely driver problems

why am i not surprised?

For me, it said Google Inbox was using all the battery last time I checked. Which makes sense because I never close it.

Looking for a decent GUI bulk renaming utility that supports regex. Installed
gprename
. It has a regex option and preview before you commit to the operation. Perfect. Just what I needed. Ok, so... regex... groups... replace with... ok, are backreferences\n
? Nope. Ok,$n
then? Nope. Ok, check help I guess...Replace / Remove
- Backreferences with Regular expression cannot be use as $1 is considered a Perl variable.
Wah? Really? REALLY?
What is the point of you then!?
Update:
pyrenamer

I dare you to post a picture that illustrates you not testing on Windows phone, just to annoy blakey. Two WPs with cob webs on them, while you test an Android with one hand and iOS with the other should do it. ;-)

Either you spent wads of cash and 17 hours on a plane just to get to @accalia and pick up the phones, or there's something missing between those two sentences...

Oh well, it did the job and it's never going to get ran again.
