one of the "tame" ones
Yeah, that's why I said tamer.
Frankly there's a fairly stupid amount of redundancy and probably over-specificity.

Status: diggin' Ben L's Skyrim scenery screenshots.
How do you get rid of the NPCs? Are you really walking around dragging their corpses out of view, or is there a quick console command for that?
-
I've only taken one screenshot where I had to drag NPCs away, and that was this one:
The NPCs were on the right, and all I had to do was drag them into the tower. All the rest of the screenshots were just taken before any NPCs had come into view.
-
Really? Even this one:
That place is loaded with pirates. At least when I went through it.
EDIT: actually now that I take another look, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong cave. I'm thinking of the one the argonian guy in Solitude sends you to after you put out the lighthouse... and that screenshot is not it.
ANOTHER EDIT: also if you want it, I made a quick-and-dirty mod to make dragging corpses a lot easier, I haven't bothered to upload it anywhere but it's on Google Code if you want a copy.
-
That was from a mod. There were bandit marauders earlier in the dungeon, but from there to the door was just scenery.
-
Oh cool. I was wondering, the closer I looked, the less I recognized it... but I've never played any mods that add quests or content generally. (I tried a few and they were all full of typos, clipping errors, or bad navmeshes and I just kind of gave up on them. I can forgive bad navmeshes, due to how broken Creation Kit was for so long, but typos piss me off.)

Wyrmstooth and Falskaar are good. Stay away from Moonpath to Elsweyr.
The only complaints I have are that Falskaar has a few continuity errors (there are fallen trees that couldn't possibly have fallen in that direction and in certain dungeons some of the light sources don't make physical sense with how far down you are). With Wyrmstooth, there was one cave (I don't think it had a quest, so it wasn't important) that had ground cover hovering in the air for a large portion of it (they were the ugliest type of ground cover, too).

Cool. I'll take your recommendation. I'm almost done with all main quests on my current character, so what the hell, I can try some new content.

Base game is full of those "where is this light coming from?" moments, so that's not a huge deal.

Shockingly the base game has a bit of that in Blackreach. IIRC it was pebbles hovering about 3' above the ground.

is good reading. worth the time.
Sadly, no luck finding it at either of the two libraries I've checked so far.

Replaced broken dryer belt on mother's dryer. Sliced open hand on sheet metal so blood sacrifice has been provided and it is a true and good home repair...

So one of our friends mentioned turkey burritos at some point this week, so I ate two giant ones, completely full of fixin's, and then proceeded to hate myself in this way:
Now I'm currently very confused, as I'm at work, wanting to listen to the Bruins game. They play Black Friday at noon EDT (9 here) every single year.......until this one.

Someone just took away the permissions of the test-environment users on the test-environment database servers.
This should be fun.

compared to a AAA title like Call of Duty Modenr Warfare II? not so much.
compared to a brand new BMW? positively chump change!

My bad, SQL Server was just choking on itself. Easy fix.

Well, I'm this kind of gamer:
so I really rarely pay as much as 17 euro for a game. It's worth it, sure, but still...
Status: Ah, fuck it. Installing Kerbal Space Program.

oh. well in that case....
welcome to the dark side?

I just play console games, and have friends in the industry that send me free games.

Are you high? Expensive compared to what?
It's a hell of a lot cheaper than games that are a hell of a lot shittier.

Also a hell of a lot more expensive than games that are just as much fun. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but the pricing is hellish. I mean, it's just an euro short of a full Valve pack right now.
Status: staging doesn't work in science mode for some reason. Will investigate tomorrow.

If you pay $60 for a game, you're probably on a system where one company has a monopoly on selling games for that system.
Or it's a game from that kind of system, ported (poorly) to PC.

Status: Returned from an enjoyable weekend away camping in our camper trailer. There was a worrying moment, after I'd put it all away, when I thought I'd packed my wallet up in the camper trailer which would have involved...
- Hooking up the camper trailer to the car (5 mins)
- Towing to a place I can set it up (5 mins)
- Opening up the tent part enough to search for wallet (20 mins)
- Packing up tent part (20 mins)
- Winching it back under the house (1 hour)
But I found that my wife had put it in her bag

Santa's Little Helper
I have a sneaking feeling that she mentioned while I was driving home and I "uh huhed" but didn't really hear. Is there a beer for that and, if so, will this turn into the @chubertdev posts pictures of apposite beers thread
Needles (yes) to say I would have confirmed that she hadn't seen it prior to embarking on the above 2 hour mission...

I vote we rename the sports to footlongball and 69cmcircumferenceball so that there is no ambiguity.

We could just name soccer to "bloody boring". That would also alleviate the confusion.

That name is already taken by baseball.
