But are you demanding that you may or may not be Vroomfondel?
No, I just demand either more or fewer arrows, depending on how many you used incorrectly.

I thought you were demanding that you may or may not want more arrows?

more or possibly less.

Fine, it's that way

I'm sure Deep Thought would have an answer for you - I think my brain is, well, too highly trained to answer this one.

Disquote?

You should edit mott555's term then, he proposed DiscoQuote but I like yours better.

"disquoted"

I did, I did a proof of concept where I put it to about 30k edits in a few minutes and reported it.
Theoretically it's limited to your daily edit limit now (which I think is around 150 here)
-
How about this: Deletes shouldn't show up nor count against your edit limit because they're not edits.
-
Your logic is no good here on Discourse.
Actually I seem to remember that Discourse edits the post to the deleted message but I'm not sure I've remembered that correctly.
-
It does, that's likely why they treat it as an edit, and have it limited.
Which you can see if you look at my edit history on this post.
Edit test.
-
Ah so I remembered correctly - excellent.
-
That was my proposal. Counting against the edit limit is still better than nothing.

Neither - it was there by the time I got promoted. But I suspect any non-trivial install of Discourse has a similar dumping ground.

So what happens to deleted posts normally if they aren't hard deleted and there's no default recycle bin?

They're still there in the thread.
They aren't seen by non-admins (I'd hope they aren't served up!) but admins (probably mods as well, but CBA to go look) see:
