The chant is nice, but the instrumental accompaniment is disconcerting. It's ok, but Gregorian chant was meant to be sung a capella. And bird-calls???

Like even dem blinken lights. Enough that I subscribed to the guy's channel. Thanks, @LurkerAbove.
Complete with blinken lightsMaybe not so much?

is this better?
That's my (Oh, bugger off, Discurse toaster! I'm Doing It Wrong™ on purpose.) favorite of the recent culture posts, but then I really like the Gm Fugue, and Bach in general. And the organ on which it's being played is good. It's digital, but really sounds acoustic; apparently, they're even sold by pipe organ dealers.

Catchy afro-jazz. His later albums are a bit too much freestyle for my taste, but this one from 1969 is perfect.

I continue to be amazed at how many people I know have never come across the magic that is Lindsey Stirling.

Here's a better animation to go along with it:
* That's big S, small A, small N, big D, small E, big E and a star.

How much does the guy who goes "chicka-chicka" get paid, I wonder.

If you were at all consuming oxygen in 1998, you probably remember Fastball's "The Way". Fastball is one of those one-hit-wonder groups that I thought deserved to be more than a one-hit-wonder. Oh well.
Never heard of either song. To me, Fastball's one hit was You're An Ocean:Here's their second-most famous song, Out Of My Head:

First time I saw the video. Or their faces for that matter.

I skipped the weekend and Monday, so I'll assume undeclared permission to post multiple times.

Anyway, here's one of my favorite OCRemix tracks:

And to conclude, time for some swing:

So you think your kung fu's pretty good, eh?

It was written by Martin Galway, the king of C-64 music,
I'm more of a Hubbard guy:

Also, holy shit, programming a SID is hard. It seems simple enough - you get 3 oscillators, you can set wave shape, ADSR, etc. just by writing into memmapped registers, but when you realize how constrained C64 was... holy shit.
I did manage to play "Frere Jacques" with a triangle wave, and that was about it.

BTW, I had two friends who honestly thought Adam Sandler made-up this song for the movie The Wedding Singer. It's not that obscure, is it? (His cover honestly ain't bad though.)

IMO the definitive version of Les Fleur, by 4Hero. Somebody also made a nice video for it.

I'm not a big fan of hip-hop, but this song is great. It helps that lyrics are not trivial, as is usually the case with rap/hip-hop.
