Actually, @morbiuswilters claim (as described by @HardwareGeek) is not necessarily exclusive of the first point I mentioned. It would just be an indication that Jeff has been here longer than we thought.

Think carefully. Is it make any sense for Jeff to go pretend and post like Indian person who also knows Hindi?
Think some more.

Depends how dedicated he is to his puppet. And for all we know, @codinghorror does know Hindi.

It could be an act, but I doubt it.

Alex Papadimoulis originally invited me to be a guest editor at The Daily WTF nearly six months ago. I was honored and accepted immediately. Since then, The Daily WTF has been rechristened Worse Than Failure.

I'm intrigued... is that you Nagesh?
Are you in fact a "ninja coder"?

-
I'm not black and I'm not bald, does that count?

Hooves, not Hand(s)
Don't make me post my fanfiction.

Yes, I think we'd all rather you didn't.

Given this crowd, there are probably some who would disagree with that statement. However, I most heartily concur with it.

I'd read it, just out of curiosity. And maybe save it and read it again later. Just out of curiosity.
-
And save it in that special folder you keep for that sort of material?
-
No!
...
...
Yes.

On reading that, I had to chuckle about Spolsky talking about why people should not use Java. This advice, coming from a person who while using VBScript thought, "You know what this needs?" and came to the conclusion that it needed extended and a "compiler" that translates the WTFery to PHP or .NET. I think most sane people, when asked the question of what VBScript needed, would answer "To be taken out back to tend the rabbits."

This is pretty dark, even for here.

Every language is having pitfalls, but "guru" like Spolsky and Atwood like to comment on failures of a language. This is like saying in "Middle Ages". HEy don't take sword to the battle, take bow and arrow. Everyone may not be good with "Bow and Arrow". Each warrior is choosing his weapon, just like each programmer is having a preference. You can-not expect a spear warrior to suddenly pick sword up and start fighting like bruce-lee. I am devoting, but I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
Another word is that you don't want a heart surgeon to operate on removal of brain tumor no matter how good he is at heart surgery. Or a brain surgeon to deliver your baby, though mostly he could mangle that part.

Nagesh is older than I thought.

Yeah, I mean, compiling VBScript into PHP or .NET? That's no laughing matter, that's just sad.

Stomme buitenlanders met hun talen.
"I will bloody the foreigners with their ripped out tongues"
Really? A bit extreme there.

It's fair, though.
