Poll: Discourse Feature Request on Polls

Should Discourse automatically add FILE_NOT_FOUND as an option to all polls?

Polls should be removed altogether. Polls are a barrier to reading.

Screenshot pyramid, anyone?

OK, who's the jerk?
-
Feature request: Auto-ban whoever votes incorrectly.
-
What a shame that voting is anonymous ... Who would do that? Show yourself! Coward!
-
Why not polls with infinite options?
-
Because of the quasi-reciprocal nature of infinite improbability physics... long story short, the more options you have, the more likely someone is to just pick the first one.
-
Agreed. That's why I propose we get rid of this boring linear infinity thing and move on to recursive polls.

I believe the thread is shaped like a torus.
Filed under: s/thread/universe/, Aside from the fairly conclusive evidence that it isn't.

Why not threaded, where each response changes your options.

I believe the thread is shaped like a torus.
Challenge:
Solve this using only Discourse.

Seems to me is asking for a camper

Always reminds me of this

Why not polls with infinite options?
You mean with a little scrollbar on the right side, and the more you scroll, the more options appear? I can see how this would delight Discourse users!

Mobius underpants. Two-hole topology.
That implies some odd things about him or his fashion sense. My (new) underwear typically has 4 holes.

Don't most underpants have 3 holes? (four if they're Y fronts.)
Though I suppose there are 2-hole versions for amputees, lets see what Google Images has to say...

I completely forgot about the p-hole, and it only just now occurred to me that the top is also a hole; I initially projected it as a flat limited plane with 2 leg holes.

Wait ... when did this turn into a fashion blog?
I remember a long thread about pink striped dress shirts back in CS. That one involved @morbiuswilters, too. I'm sure that wasn't the first. In any case, nothing is really OT around here.

Tonight, I'm going to pseudo-fry/bake some potato wedges, pepper steak, and cook broccoli.
It's gonna be teh yum.

I think you may be conflating two threads...
Don't bother man. I got excoriated earlier for mentioning that style isn't entirely worthless to keep track of. And they're still making fun of me for saying I own, and sometimes wear, a blue dress shirt with light pink stripes.
Pink shirts and cowboy boots...
Or there may be another I haven't found yet...

I figured I could count on you to dig them up . I did recall that the shirts had been mentioned multiple times.

Infinni-poll™
I see what you have done there. Any plans to licence it to The Civilized Discourse Construction Kit Inc.?
-
I'll make a commit, and then it will be backed out silently.
-
Silently? Oh no, it requires at least one passive-aggressive lolcat snark picture to do that.
-
What commit was backed out, anyway?
-
-
Did someone mention necroposting? Hmm, was it maybe @presidentsdaughter?
-
No.
