Reddit embeds really don't work
-
Catching up with the Windows 11 topic, I saw this strange WTDWTF screen embedded inside a post:
Turns out that is a Reddit link that was inserted into Schrodinger's OneBox and the waveform collapsed
-
-
I'm not seeing any errors in the logs.
-
@boomzilla Do the embeds show up for you, or the same "/render not found" that I see?
-
@hungrier I get the error. Hmm...not sure what that "render" request is about. Other oneboxes don't seem to do that.
-
@hungrier
Somehow I read that as "reindeer not found".
-
@Luhmann Hence we can conclude that reddit is to be delivered by Santa?
-
@BernieTheBernie Reddit is a lump of coal?
-
@HardwareGeek Here we have Nikolaus and Krampus. You deserve Krampus, methinks.
-
I’m perfectly fine with reddit not one boxing. Would almost call it a feature. If only we could get an ai to censor screenshots of reddit.
-
@DogsB I'd honestly be fine just nuking Reddit from orbit.
-
-
I thought we had Reddit oneboxes blocked as they used to autoplay video but I guess attempting to onebox means we don't.
-
@loopback0 Last I recall we didn't, but if we did shouldn't they just show up as links instead? That would be preferable to an iframe with a WTF 404

It's successfully doing the wrong thing.
-
@Zecc well...the error is happening on the front end.

Successfully doing the wrong thing and then failing to handle the result of that? Very much on-message!

Sure, but start with Twi𝕫𝕫er and TikTok first. Get your priorities in order.
