RE: Salespeople need training
I remember when I was younger, I thought that drivers were actually pieces of hardware that the computer used.. Also, I remember the time when I reactivated a virus on a friend's computer to see if a certain file that I was 99.9% sure was a virus was in fact the virus, but that's a story for a different thread..

RE: Welcome to Second Life
Anyone feel that this quote from http://www.xkcd.com/371/ is somewhat relevent?
"Checking whether build environment is sane ... build environment is grinning and holding a spatula. Guess not "
Ok, so maybe LSL isn't exactly a build environment, but still..

RE: Welcome to Second Life
Strings aren't lists in LSL, and string comparision works just fine with == ... if it didn't, my gem would be malfunctioning all over the place
However, there's no function to compare lists.. I guess one could check lengths with == and see if llListFindList() returns 0 or -1, or just use a loop to check each entry..

RE: Welcome to Second Life
myList = (myList=[) + myList + ["new_item"];
should be
myList = (myList=[]]) + myList + ["new_item"];

Is this [PSOX]/Am I a WTF?
I made a system, called PSOX, to allow stdio-only language like Brainfuck to access the network and files etc.. The project is mostly dead due to the fact that I'm the only one interested in it due to my continuous nonstop mention of it on IRC.. I'm wondering if the code, (and possibly the spec) is a major WTF. I hope these responses can help me improve my coding style etc. Note that I do NOT care for flames telling me how this is a worthless project, I know that there is no real-life use for this thing. I just want to know how good/bad the code and spec is.

RE: Captcha WTF
@djork said:
Looks like a good idea to me. It's easier to change the format/wording of a text-based captcha than to change the output of an image-based one if the OCR is cracked. The chances of a spammer revisiting this particular blog's captcha after cracking it once are slim. Add to that the fact that computers are fairly terrible at following instructions given to them in English, and your spammer isn't likely to be using anything but a regex to do it.
No excuse for requesting everyone to put in "r"

Note that the software is known malware, so please don't install it unless you like having malware on your system.. (I ran it in a clean VM (or at least mostly clean))
