Lol, in high school I was forced to test the learning capacity of worms
by letting them crawl either through little pieces of paper or little
pieces of glas. I always felt pity for the worms hurt and in pain
because of the cuts from the glass...

RE: Worms feel no pain...
well, it did work out. We had tasty food in the papers, but tastier
food in the glass. After about 20 to 40 times, the worms start to go
for the food in the papers more than 70% of the time while in the
beginning, the worms tried the glass about 70 to 80%
I supose they don't feel pain, but do notice that glass can harm them...

Hey Katja, do you know anybody in Amsterdam who uses expressions like "hiz-ouze!" and "Whassup!" like Americans do?
Does the typical Netherlandese person try to "act" American?
Not in Amsterdam. In the part where I live there are a lot of muslim people and there is a lot of hate against America on the streets. The funny thing is that a lot of teenagers who are muslim and talking hate about America do used these terms, and they all listen to american rap music and dress like these rappers...
In Amsterdam there is a very special language used by kids, that is a mix of English, Surinam, French, Turkish and Arabic words.
And it is a trend here to use words for a different meaning, like the dutch word for "cruel" is used to express something that is very nice...

RE: Thanks for the refund
haha, I didn't noticed that either. But it is strange how many official
letters there are with typo's in them. The worst is the police over
here. They can't type anything proper nor work with computers. The guy
filling in a form for my stolen wallet was fighting a combo box for 10
minutes and kept clicking both mouse buttons at the same time. So much
for a computer system.. -
RE: Quicken sucks
When is it acceptable to force users to upgrade their software? I
suppose that if it concerns a dangerous security issue you could force
people, but forcing them only for some improvements is absurd. And they
ask an extra sum of money as well... :S
