One time I received a legitimate email from AT&T (my email host at the time) that asked me to follow a link to reset my password. I marked it as spam.

I was at my son's school today and noticed that in their library, they have 4 Macs.... all running Windows XP. I'm pretty sure there are more of them in the classrooms. So, they spend twice as much on hardware, plus buy the Windows licenses. And yet they complain that there is no money.
Something something Apple Education Pricing something something complete.

In other news, my employer has fired both customers and vendors from pulling crap like this.

I then go back to what I was doing before this little interruption.
No! You must watch the SQL window while it's running in case there's an error.
But, but, but I can watch this window while doing something else (two monitors).
No, I want you to watch this as it's important!
Not as important as making sure the application doesn't lock up. Your boss should have had you test the application to pass the time (in addition to checking on the SQL window every now and then).
Although the application "shouldn't" lock up for the duration of the query, if part of the application grabs a needlessly strong lock while the query is running, it may conflict with even a seemingly innocent SELECT query. I've made this mistake before.

RE: Bumblebee
The bug was reported on May 23-24 and fixed on May 24. Apparently, it didn't go viral until about 2 days ago.

RE: Recursive OS install - best idea ever!
The problem the poster is having is that the Windows CD won't boot, so he or she is trying to install Windows through Wine:
Okay well if thats impossible then im screwed.
I wouldn't expect Wine to be able to pull this off. Apparently, it couldn't.
ive tried making bootable discs but cant get them to work, when i re-boot my computer with the disc in, it just gets stuck on a black screen with a flashing blip i the top left, then starts ubuntu as normal. Before you ask, yes, my disc drive is top of the boot list in my bios, and ive tried to force boot from the disc.
