Nope, you get straight to download now, and I'm not sure how would I go about selecting a different mirror than the one assigned to me.

Next time take the bus. And bring some sticks and marshmallows. And maybe some graham crackers and Herseys. Mmm.
Bus would take 5+ hours instead of two, here buses are all old, and go through every tiny village in the region. The idea is that for fast travel to large(r) cities you take fast trains, for mediocre travel to small towns you take the regional train, and to get to Forgotten Dunghole (population: 3 and some cows) you take a bus.
Also, marsmallows cooked over electrical fire reek of burned insulation. >.>Although we also have busses that go to every little village, inter city busses are also used and faster than many trains. Trains are almost expected to be late, often times even in start. Hour long waits are expected, and I once had to wait about 5 hours for the train to START moving! Busses almost never start late and are never too late arriving, so I always go with busses when I can.

OTOH, there's this guy:
Editing large text files on linux ( 5 - 10gb)
Basically, i need a file of specified format and large size(Around 10gb). To get this, i am copying the contents of my original file into the same file, multiple times, to increase its size. I dont care about the contents of the file as long as they have the required format. Initially, i tried to do this using gedit, which failed miserably after few 100mbs. I'm looking for an editor which will help me do this. Or, may be a suggestion on alternate ways
WTF? Was today "Do stupid things with big files day," and no one told me?
groan did you see the guy suggesting he use PHP to generate the 10GB file?

RE: Copying images from MSIE to Word 2007
So, not only do we have to be careful about copying FROM Word, but we also need to be careful about copying TO Word?

RE: Business user emails are nearly as bad as SOAP
Reading stuff like this, I am soooo glad my coworkers know about gyazo.com :)
I just get gyazo URLs when I ask them for a screenshot. (Unfortunately, gyazo starting adding adds on their screenshot links recently)

RE: Random pathOf course, thats no longer needed, since PHP 4.2.0, but PHP used to have really crappy PRNG.posted in Side Bar WTF

RE: Someone forgot to publish and insert map.
Looking at the URL it might be that they keep everything in one giant table, categories, posts, images...

RE: Should you 'like' an obituary?
It does seem morbid, but I can see some people wanting to share the news of their loved ones passing on the facebook. Unfortunately the button says "like" instead of "share".

RE: Nicely done tdwtf
Check the source. Everything is in <noscript> so if you turn on NoScript you'll see the normal page. Interesting joke :)
