Shouldn't the Java keyword "package" give him a bit of a hint as to which is correct?

I never said my regex is correct or complete, only that it matches some more cases than the chain of replaces... to show that there are cases in which simple find/replace isn't enough. To do it 100% accurate, you'd probably need an XML parser (at least a partial HTML parser). Or lots of patience.
The object is to turn it into well-formed XML. If you can run it through an XML parser, it already is!

Man. ICQ. I haven't even THOUGHT about ICQ in the last decade, much less had it installed, but no sooner did I read "ICQ" in your post than "47335259" popped into my head. That's disturbing.
Edit: closely followed by the foghorn sound. Dammit.

I thought that was the whole point of the thread.

And where's the benefit in that? It looks like line noise.
Something go you on thinking until one day you write...Potato potato = new MarisPiper()

If the game allows it, what's the problem?
Poor game design/balancing. The developers aren't perfect, you know.Plenty of MW2 players calling for dedicated servers a la CoD4 so that they can disagree with the game designers about what makes it fun and what doesn't. The CoD4 designers thought it would be fun if everyone around you dropped live frag grenades when they died. They had a minority opinion there...

This sounds similar to another company....When you order a pizza over the web, the individual store receives a FAX so that they can make it.
Argh. I've ordered a couple of times lately from a place that does exactly that. The first time, they didn't notice the order at all until I rang up 45 minutes later to ask where the pizza was. The second time, they couldn't READ the fax properly, so they- missed half the order
- got the other half wrong
- and tried to charge me a second time.

I particularly like the brackets. Y'know, just in case the pre-increment operator randomly decides to post-increment for a change.

RE: Please specify your reason for absence...
This is awesome. Amputation of Toe is my favourite, simply because it's the only amputation option you get. No idea what you specify if it's a finger instead.
