Like Textpad with Folding?
-
I know this is a bit weird, but the only thing I like to write code in is Textpad. The ONLY thing I wish it did that it doesn't is code folding like on loops and functions etc.
Can anyone reccomend an good editor which is very similar to Textpad in it's simplicity and such, but has code folding?
I will be forever greatful.

That one looks good, I'm downloading it and trying it now. Thanks! If anyone has any others to suggest, feel free.
Edit: It doesn't have one of the languages I use in the list of 'schemes', but other than that, okay :)

UltraEdit for windows supports folding.
Textmate for OSX supports folding. (super software!)
Editplus does not support folding.
I personally have been getting by sans folding just fine. :)

Can't seem to find it. Are we talking about the same thing here?

I'm using it right now. Google UltraEdit and download at the first link.
I love it.

Try Notepad++. I like a full featured IDE for coding, but I use Notepad++ for all my text file needs. It's a sourceforge project.

You may want to try Scite as well (http://scintilla.sourceforge.net/SciTE.html). It folds all kind of code, even XML tags. And I find it provides a very good balance between simplicity and power.

Advanced --> Configuration --> Editor Display --> Code Folding

I guess I'm outdated :) Time to upgrade - thanks.
