  • I wanted to skip to a certain time in this video embedded in an Ars Technica article, but had some trouble doing so.

(Funny note, I named the file ars.png, but imageshack turned it into arse.png)

  • I didn't get a window. :(

All I got was a freaking bubble tooltip. I feel used.

    Worked OK for me.

TRWTF is the new window animation used in OSX Lion. @Ars Technica said:

"It's conceivable that this animation could delight some users, but I have a hard time believing that the enjoyment will last much past the first week. (Interestingly, this animation does not play in reverse when a window is closed. This, perversely, makes window closing feel faster than window opening in Lion.)

....  I look forward to discovering a way to disable it."

Discovering a way to disable it?  Discovering?  Really?  WTF?   Sure, Windows has a lot of annoying animations by default and your grandmother probably has no idea how to turn them off, but I would expect someone doing softare reviews for a well known website to be a little more knowkedgable about this sort thing.  Which leads me to  believe that turning off these animations must be really non-obvious (or non-possible).

  • The video works fine for me as well now. Maybe it was becuase I used Linux at work, or perhaps they have fixed it in the mean time.
