Unrelated to code, but you guys can probably help anyway.

Hey all, I have an older Sony Bravia 46" LCD tv. It's pretty damn old by the LCD TV standard, but it does everything I need it to, and such things are expensive for a poor college student, so I keep it around. Recently it's been developing vertical lines along the left side, right up against the bezel. I'd estimate about 10-12 pixel columns tweak out, showing black, or random colors. When I first saw this I figured the panel had been knocked around wrong and was ruined, but after about 20-25 minutes, they're gone, no dead pixels even, like nothing was ever wrong.
I'm thinking the power board needs to be replaced. I have a line on ebay to a replacement but I wanted to get some fellow nerds opinions. Thoughts?

Doesn't sound like power, what gave you that impression? It's a common failure mode for a LCD, I assume the something gets broken between the controller and the screen.
