What old archaic version of Windows are you using?
Is that even Windows?
-
That's Windows 5.1 build 2600. It's archaic alright, but nothing else runs on my old hardware. ^^
-
Ok, I'm going to ask it, consequences be damned.

Why do you run such old hardware?

You, sir, are TRWTF.
Not that I have anything against using ancient hardware to do useful stuff. But as your primary work machine?

So according to the first random website with a graph of market share that I found, XP is still running on over 50% of all the machines out there. It's hardly vanishingly obsolete yet.@Shortjob said:

So according to <A title=http://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?spider=1&qprid=10 href="http://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?spider=1&qprid=10" target=_blank>the first random website with a graph of market share that I found, XP is still running on over 50% of all the machines out there. Speaking as someone whose primary work machine is running on Windows XP, I'd have to agree. I see that even Windows 98 shows up on 0.03% of systems. I guess you can call that vanishingly obsolete, if you like.As far as home goes... I have to admit: one XP/Ubuntu dual boot, two XP, one 98 (one of the kids' machines). So perhaps I'm part of the problem. :)

Because I've got no choice. My desktop recently broke down and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. Right now, I'm using this old XP notebook for work and an Ubuntu server for university stuff.

I was kind of hoping this would be another wtf, but I guess not. :\

Sorry Dhromed. =/
On a lighter note, we can consider this bug replicated ^^
