BMW Germany burns its logo onto the insides of audience's eyes

  •  Sounds seriously annoying.

  • It sounds interesting. But the backlash could be very negative for BMW. Many people will be afraid of the idea of subliminal advertising, and there may even be some nasty comments about them being German and indoctrination.

Too bad you can't see it in the video.

Subliminal advertising doesn't (and never did) exist. People are idiots.

Can we invoke Godwin's law before it came to pass?

    Too late.

The repurposability of this clip is awesome, obviously, but I liked the iPad version above all else. Maybe because it was the first I saw.

We should probably have made a version for Alex when we couldn't post anything.

Although subliminal advertising undoubtedly existed, I will agree that it probably had very little effectiveness.  Anyway, it's a moot point because a long-lasting afterimage is certainly not subliminal.

Have you seen the movie? It's incredible.

Nope. Subliminal advertising never existed. I guess it "existed" during the original psychological studies, but the government banned it before anybody actually deployed subliminal campaigns-- not that it really matters, since it doesn't work. Because the study's results were pulled out of an ass. Scientists can be lying fucks just like anybody else.

  • I've not seen it.

On the todo list it goes!

    Absolutely.  Remember this guy ?
