Which made me wonder, "How can I become a member of this exciting profession?". A short google search lead me to this awesome site: Certified Internet Engineer.

I can see them impressed by 100 dollar bills but not for a logo no matter how cool it is, perhaps you have corporate sluts there. Also given the quality standard of this site I'll be surprised if it was any good. The WTF is that you have to trust them on the logo being cool and that being the only redeeming quality the company could cite.

I rather suspect that this was a belated April Fool that didn't get completed in time. Obviously it's attracted some interest, since they say 'this domain name is not for sale.' Which may also be tongue-FIRMLY-in-cheek, BTW.

Agreed. It's way too outrageous to be serious. It's probably someone who found a coveted three-character domain name was available and decided to flaunt it around saying "nyah nyah you can't have it!"

I'm always impressed with sites like that which have their own domain. It means that, despite being a quick and dirty joke site from the dark ages of the Internet, somebody cared enough about the site to keep paying the hosting fees and domain registration fees for the last decade.
That's much more impressive than 1990's vintage sites that you might find left to rot on university servers or geocities-like free hosting providers.

Thats exactly why "they" suspect that possible future archeologist really don't have much to do because almost every piece of information became digital starting in the late 20th's.
At least, until they invent FTL travel and sensitive sensors to pick up the EM waves we all sent into space...

Didn't it make you at all curious to see a three-letter second-level com domain being used for nothing? Those things are valuable! It made me wonder how long it's been like that, and why.
