Tech Support Question: XP Theme
-
You know that windows XP UI theme, the one with the fluffy blue title bars and big red buttons? It's the default theme for XP. I call it "candy land" I presume everybody turns that off, right?
The problem is, even after you turn it off, your login screen stays in candy mode. Is there a way to turn that off too so that none of that extra code ever loads in the first place? I googled for this bug came up empty.

Everybody I know calls it "Telletubby Mode"

I actually quite like the XP Theme, although I prefer the "Silver" color scheme. Alas, I don't know how to modify the XP Home login screen.

I've heard it called the "Fisher-Price" interface.
Lot of help we are, eh?
Quick search turned up : http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140542
I have not tried it, and barely looked at it. Use at your own risk. Maybe Google a bit more for the answer.

TweakUI for Win XP, IIRC, has a function that lets you put the current desktop's theme onto the login screen. I don't like the Luna theme (Teletubby et. al.) much either, but I found a good theme called Watercolor that I like a lot.
