Working == good



  • I'm sure we see many working products pass these WTF pages. I spent years trying to convince management that "it works" was not the only measure of quality. It's certainly a critcal metric, but cost over time and change is another that is badly compromised by crap code, even presently working crap code.

    "Less crappy" is explicitly claimed as an advantage in open source, because anybody in the user community can improve code they don't like. Guess that hasn't happened to this one yet. ;-)



  • D'oh, now I fell victim to the forum software. It's so fun to blame somebody else for my mistakes.



  • Solution: use an open-source forum software ;)
