I don't think I can wait this long, though.

ahahahaha 174 years is quite a while, good luck with that!

What is the cause of an "iPod disabled" message?
(PS. I don't have an ipod touch)

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212iPhone and iPod touch allow you to set a passcode to be entered when powered on or when the wake button is pressed[...]
If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later:

If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with.
Not too bad then...

Put it in the window of your car when you park in disabled parking spaces.

40 and a bit.The bit being nearly a month.
Good to know. I'd hate to have been waiting 174 years and thinking I only had a bit left, only to wait for nearly a month more!

Except that, if you wait for 174 years, you'll wait 134 years and slightly more than 11 months too many.

That iPod will be obsolete wihin 40 years, never mind 174, so the OP is screwed either way.
Or really really patient and potentially long-lived.

Fucking Frosty! Breaking our iPods!
BTW my favorite "WTF" on that password lock feature is that if you set it to ask for a password after being idle an hour, it'll sometimes do that. Then again, sometimes it'll ask after 10 minutes. And sometimes after only a minute. And sometimes an hour. I swear they use a random number generator to determine the delay...

Right... I can be stupid even with a calculator sometimes
