WTF Getacoder job

    My favourite part:

    Budget:     $ 20-100
Required Skills:     C++ / C, Programming, Visual Basic

  •  Yeah, someone posts this exact ad every few months.

My favourite part: You may not start working in this and any project before

                        your bid is accepted</i> </p>

  • Hilarious! Actually you get to see a lot of jobs like these on this type of websites. And then there are the tons of Raguptanawapshandrayan Software that say will do it in 7 days for 50$.

Yes, we've seen this a couple times already.
Thank God, I thought it was groundhog's day...

  • The title of this post confuses me.

Are we supposed to add the missing operators?

    Here's my attempt...

    WTF = Getacoder != job

I mean putting WTF and Getacoder next to each other is almost Orwellean i.e. "Double Plus Good"

ok actually reading the article this time.

While you may not like Visual Basic, it is a language.  What really gets me here is in the middle of listing languages anotjher required skill is "Programming"; and I thought that was supposed to be a given if you knew C++, C or Visual Basic.  Of course looking at some of the code here, maybe "Programming" does need to be listed separatly from the languages as a requirement.

Well, technically, programming is just the algorithmic know-how part. Of course, you probably need those skills whatever you do but it's not like you can't code without it :P. That's why most of these stories on TDWTF exist in the first place: people that know a (part of a) language but don't understand basic algorithmic concepts.

  •  Isn't the biggest WTF the task itself (and the pay for it)?

I need someone to program me a new OS (Operasting System) that looks
different than Ms Windows XP etc. but has the same style.
    Program an OS for 100$?

I'm going to sell that operating system later on.

and you're supposed to get 100$ bucks for it while this guys sells it  for wads of cash?

It HAS to be HACKER SAFE!

It must be quick and good looking.
    Good luck with that...

And ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE JUST A REDESIGNED WINDOWS
Again, this guy has no idea what he's talking about... Further proof would be the fact he thinks Visual Basic (as WTFcky  that is on its own) will be useful/necessary in creating an OS.

That was the only wtf i saw. What were the others?

  • (to clarify my last post, the only WTF I saw is the task and its pay (and how he thinks Visual Basic will be useful for it))

    ..

that he could sell in competition with Windows.

Operator != Relation most of the times...

  •  I said "job" because I'm not sure what you call a thing on getacoder.com. Would  you prefer "entry", "task" or "offer"? And by the way I was only on that site because someone else sent me the link.

    You forgot "joke".
