TDWTF meter

  • More suggestions for improvement - the meter needle shouldn't be a solid black, but a grey or even brown. Look at the original VU meter for what I mean. Since you say you're using several lines, maybe try making the edge ones slightly lighter than the middle.

Also, sorry for blowing it up :-S

    - The better meter by tdb (note: It still lacks a "peak" light image)

I have now uploaded a PEAK version to http://www.tdb.fi/~tdb/wtf_meter_peak.png.  The xcf version has also been updated, it now has both the FRONT PAGE and PEAK labels on separate layers.

    2^6th post from me btw

    I think you mean 2^6th - 1 ;)

What I actually meant was a picture were the "peak" (or front page) light was on. I hacked one together myself, but I'm not really good at it.
This one will be a nice addition however when I implement the option for different meters.

  • Sourceforge project

The sourceforge project is now up and running. You can find it here.

I've also create a website for the project on their webspace. The website can be found here. It also includes a little information about it and a nice feature, a generator which helps you create meters.

Please do not use the sourceforge generated images in public, as this is a violation of sourceforge's terms of use. If I detect any violation I will be forced to use a .htaccess to prevent hotlinking (which I rather wouldn't because now it can be used for demo purposes on other sites)

If anyone is interested in co-developing or otherwise contributing to the project, feel free to join the project.

"The origional thread"? And you didn't properly capitalize SourceForge.

Oh, sorry.  I misinterpreted you.  Your image with the lit peak light looks good to me though.

  •  I just had a silly idea for some alternative texts, so I had to do this:

    WTF meter - Paula edition

In case some of you have problems with seeing the image again: http://www.tdb.fi/~tdb/wtf_meter_bpb.png

Due to popular request, I also moved the bottom texts a bit up so they are completely visible.  All the previous versions have been updated.

  •  Is WBMP not actually just BMP ?At leat that seems to work.

    nice work
