  •  It occurs to me that TRWTF is that some committee was tasked with coming up with ways to preserve and promote interest in the rich cultural and spiritual history of the Welsh, of which their language is an important component, and decided that bilingual road signs would somehow help.

    better than signs only in English.  THe problem is that if you had signs only in English then you would be making signs that 80% of the people in your country could not read.  Not exactly the best way to keep the roads safe.

    You do realise that Welsh has been a minority language in the United Kingdom for over a thousand years, don't you?
