BSOD and Olympics

  •  I do know that BSOD in Public are beyond WTF now; They are common place. But one place you don't expect the BSOD to appear at, is the spectacular opening ceremony in Beijing. Well..

  • They used Windows in the Olympics? Eek! I hope the "scoring system" isn't running that ... though it would be interesting to see a competitor getting lots of NaN scores....

  • Because Windows causes NaN errors!

Why do you insist on posting ridiculous flamebait like this all the time?

    What the fuck?

  •  Just hope that particular windows box wasn't controlling the safety mechanisms on that person's rope...

I'm pretty sure those are still mechanical also if it were the picture submitted would have one less person strung by ropes.

Can you please refresh my memory on the relation between Windows and NaN. I seem to have forgotten it.

    It's china. What safety mechanisms?

How do we know there weren't two people before the BSOD appeared?

    Touche.

  • Am I only who thinks this picture is fake? Projecting on the roof where nothing else is projected and even if that wouldn't be blue screen it wouldn't contribute anything to the show. And thinking it wouldn't be noticed by organisers at the moment when guy with Olympic flame was right besides it is ridiculous. Even if there would be blue screen I guess the projector would go off line in the second.

  •  Why don't you read the article, where it has been confirmed?
Or would you like a link to the video http://www.filedropper.com/bsodbnnbc (originally posted by a digg user)

Oh, well done! Spoken like a true script kiddie!

Please explain (with your vast technical and mathematic skills) the correlation between Windows and NaN, Oh Great One!

Now that's taking the "Death" in BSOD too literally

A BSOD in the Olympics might even be seen as an omen (a bad one) by Chinese. Some have already gone superstitious because some believed that the Olympic mascots somehow were cursed; they linked them to the big earthquake, the Tibetan unrest, and basically any other thing that could be related to one of the mascots. Oops!

  •  Windows / 0 = NaN . Silly.

Ah yeah...not like anyone at the olympics would have some kind of image capturing device on which they would be able to press one button, and freeze time for about a hundredth of a second, only to have the ability to view it later on.
