    From Jon Rowett ...

I ordered some lingerie for my girlfriend from StockingsHQ.com (I know, too much information, but bear with me). Something in this order confirmation email caught my eye:

    Sub Total: 12.72
Shipment Method: UK first class mail | UK | First class Royal Mail
    Shipment Cost: 1.25
    Sub Total Including Shipment: 13.97
    VAT / Tax: 2.44
    Transaction Currency: GBP
    Total Order Amount: £16.41

    Order Reference: [snip]
    Customer ID: ~~~~http://www.google.com/search?q=stockings+on+line&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official
    Authorisation Code: [snip]
    Transaction No: [snip]

    BILLING ADDRESS

    Name: Jonathan Rowett

  • Completely original customer ID... I was thinking of using the HTTP
request source IP address of AOL users as a unique ID, what d'y'all
    think of that?

  • And I can't help but wonder... What did you buy for her? [:D]

Nice links, btw. I've seen some interesting things already.

Probably black lace-tops - add "£12.72" to the search terms.
