Dynamic Fusebox

  • There's this company called Reside that makes a content management system called "Dynamic Fusebox", and each website that runs on it has an admin login screen that links back to the Dynamic Fusebox homepage. Except that it doesn't. It's a page the public definitely wasn't supposed to see.

Here's what the admin screen looks like here: http://home.reside.biz/admin/

Now click on the image on the top-left... ba ha ha, wtf is this? Navigate around, the crazy stock art they use is priceless. And the "Services/Products > Future Rockstar" section hints at who may be to blame for this.

  • On the other hand, the fake Latin is a very convincing argument that I should use their services. Only if I could figure out where they are located.......Invisible ink, maybe?

  • The name says it, a tool that dynamically (con)fuses content. Nonsense Latin, your family photo album, you name it. A search feature which cannot actually find any page containing "rockstars". Even when you start the search from the "future rockstars" page.

  • haha even better is this page

    http://www.dynamicfusebox.com/success.html

"the problem" (picture of broken down car

"the task force" (4 people in aprons)

    "the solution!" (toss a salad?!)

I hope the didn't take this approach to software, otherwise you'll try to add an article and it will redirect you to hamsterdance or something.

  • What about this page? http://www.dynamicfusebox.com/future_rockstar.html

The "false latin" is excerpt from Lorem Ipsum.

  • That slogan "First in leading business" really is an upwardly leveraging drive.

And glad they employ Elmo as the in-house expert.

  • "Sales Team = Future Rockstars

    test test test (smile)"

     ¬¬

This is, in part, explained by the fact that the company is run by two babies.

Oh, I went to their CRM section, and there was a link (actually a URL written as a literal) to salesforce.com. I saw a really disturbing image there, the word Software inside the red circle of prohibition. WTF do they mean by this... http://www.salesforce.com/common/assets/images/logo_hm_summ_nosoftware.gif

Perhaps Salesforce.com was built entirely with hand-wired transistors?

    1.: Lorem Ipsum

    2.: ???

    3.: Profit!

  • I've got some experience with Salesforce. It's supposed to mean the end of on-premise software (shifting to all on-demand hosted software). Basically, your business no longer has to worry about software (I guess this doesn't work for software dev companies), since they'll do that for you. And trust me, they've got plenty of software running their site :)

  • I'm still trying to understand just what the "In house experience" image is supposed to insinuate. Especially given what you see when you click that heading...

And the "Strategic consulting"... for a marching band? Except, when you follow that link....

Is this a site that got hacked, or is it really just a development page that got enabled?  The mind boggles....

Looks to me like a typical sample site from a web design company - they produce these things as a skeleton, without any real content, to show their customers the sort of design work they can do; the content (text and raw photos) would be provided by the customer.
