Today's Error'd reminded me of something I've seen. It happened on my digital cable for awhile, whenever I tried to bring up the menu.

Another WTF is that the error says "SyntaxError: syntax error". Isn't one syntax error enough?
Why would a TV need JavaScript anyway?

</script>
Contains a SyntaxError

Set-top boxes, or their built-into-TV equivalent, are usually built around embedded java (running on bare metal) and HTML. It's ugly but it makes a kind of sense.
