@benjamin-hall A friend of mine once pointed out that there are three places in the world that are known for having really big, burly, tough men: Africa, Scotland, and the Polynesian islands. In all three places, it's common for men to wear skirts.
My response? "Well of course! If you were going to wear a skirt, wouldn't you want to be all big and tough so no one would dare make fun of you for it?"

Re: the second one. The advantage of walking a mile in someone else's shoes is that afterwards you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
You probably also have blisters, but you can't have everything.
