@Onyx that is one of his best videos. IIRC, he is basically laughing the whole time. Then, the twist ending. Priceless.
-
well...... i know what i'm doing this week. awesome mod. will make.

No, a proper forum project would involve us extending it to be wirelessly controlled over the innernets.
As someone who has modified this class of hardware before, I may even have the beginnings of the code somewhere.

If we include over-the-top telemetry and the capability of it participating in a DDoS, maybe we can get it properly IoT certified? That's what you need for a IoT certification, right?
-
@cvi if you're going for that, you kinda need to include the camera and mic in that telemetry.
-
@Arantor Why stop there? Electronics offers us off-the-shelf pressure sensors, temperature sensors and moisture sensors. And why not a barometer? Do people use this predominantly on a rainy day, or is it more of a sunshine thing? (Liberal inclusion of photodiodes can help determine the latter.) An embedded GPS would provide valuable information about the geographic location of the users, which together with demographic data can help determine the socioeconomic status of the users (plus, hello targeted ads!).
-
@cvi I was going to take it in a different direction; if you had all that kind of data, you could plug it into an AI to improve vibration for the recipient to make it even more stimulating.
-

targeted
-
@Arantor With a couple HD cameras, the devices will pay for themselves!
-
@anonymous234 I wouldn't just go for "paying for themselves", I'd rather create a long stream...
Of revenue. Yes. That's what I meant.

You forgot the linear actuators. With three of them you could have proper three axis movement.

But -- :gasp: -- that would almost be an actual improvement of the product. (Unless you strictly want to combine it with a set of .. erm .. "depth sensors" for
bettermore telemetry.)Filed under: TMT

One can never have too much depth... of telemetry.
