Video Slides
-
I've been doing some videos mainly PHP / Python stuff for youtube and I've found I want to make some slides.
No I can edit in lightworks fine. The free version is fine. But I wanna include slides ... I've been googling and have no idea how to do it.

Make a 1-frame video and add it to the timeline?
I don't have that software myself, but it should be fairly straightforward to export a picture into a format it supports, even if you have to make it a video of that slide...

@Tsaukpaetra I want a piece of software that does it. I am sure I could do the hardwork and work it out myself.
there i powerpoint and nothing else which I think is bollox.

nothing else
That's the part I don't get.
Cause even in my shitty OSS I can simply add a JPEG image to the timeline and it's fine with that.
Unless you're saying you want software for which to generate the slides?

@Tsaukpaetra I am going to end up using power point. There must be something better than power point that can work with a video package.
I have no idea what I am going when it comes to this.

Possibly, but IMO it wouldn't be familiar, quick, and easy to use for a quickie.
If you were aiming to do it very often then I would have to send you off researching other products that cost money and have a certain amount of learning curve.
Are there products that can make slides? Sure. Is the quality and usability of said products directly proportional to their costs? Somewhat.

- LibreOffice
- Beamer
- emacs/org-mode/epresent
- emacs/org-mode/org-tree-slide
- reveal.js
- prezi.com
...and that's only a shallow look at what I can immediately use on my machine. Throwing in a jpg into the video feed, as suggested, is yet another way. OBS has you covered there.
Seriously, this is a solved problem.

Looks like this will do what I want.
