    Pretty accurate for this story.

In July of 2003, I was invited to Portland, Oregon, by my friend and fellow O'Reilly Author, Randal Schwartz, to attend the release party for his newest book, Learning Perl Objects, References & Modules. And then the murders began.

Q: How does dice rolling work? And then the murders began.

    Sure.

Like all variations of poker, no-limit hold 'em looks like a card game. And then the murders began.

Eh... Edit: This actually sounds ok now.

It happened every year, was almost a ritual. And then the murders began.

I'm not sure whether to include introductions or not. This seems to say no.

The trial was irretrievably over; everything that could be said had been said, but he had never doubted that he would lose. And then the murders began.

The inhabitants of Rjukan in southern Norway have a complex relationship with the Sun. “More than other places I’ve lived, they like to talk about the Sun: when it’s coming back, if it’s a long time since they’ve seen the Sun,” says artist Martin Andersen. “They’re a little obsessed with it.” And then the murders began.

It was night in that part of the world of Mezmiali--deep night, for much of the sky was obscured by the dense cosmic cloud called the Pit, little more than two light years away. And then the murders began.

As a matter of fact, the murders did pretty much begin at that point. But adding the line? Fail. (Schmitz, The Searcher.)

A green-winged, downy thing as big as a hen fluttered along the hillside to a point directly above Cord's head and hovered there, twenty feet above him. And then the murders began.

Hmmmm...yeah, that pumps it up a bit. Kind of a spastic jerk of a plot twist, though, can only award ½. (Schmitz, Grandpa.)
