No autocompletion for me

Apparently, users and groups with non-ASCII characters in their names don't appear in autocompletion. Or at least I don't. But I worked with computers long enough to know it's almost certainly because of non-ASCII character in my name.
-
@Gąska I don't appear in my own autocomplete either. Did you try from a second account?
@Gąska you appear in my list under "G" if I look down far enough
-
Chrome 55.numbers.
-
Your own username doesn't appear to you in the mention autocomplete:
Though users with non-ASCII characters do appear in the autocomplete:
And it does continue to work if you type said non-ASCII character:
Also wonderful, post streaming "works" if the only time new posts are supposed to stream in is when you scroll to the bottom or submit a post yourself, since the two posts that 'd me only appeared for me after submitting this post.

Of course I didn't. It didn't occur to me someone could implement such a useless feature!

I can see the logic behind it though. The whole point of a @mention is to attract someone's attention. So, why would you ever need to @mention yourself? You already have your attention!
-
@RaceProUK That's fine for you people with single personality disorder.
Fuckin' schizists everywhere.

What if you have multiple personalities, but they all have the same name?
-
@RaceProUK Burn in hell, freak.
-
@tufty Fine by me: Hell has the better soundtrack anyway
-
@RaceProUK That's what you think. I have it from a reliable source that it's wall-to-wall Elton John. "Candle in the Wind" on eternal repeat. The Princess Diana version. With a semidemisemiquaver delay on the lyric track.
-
@tufty Huh…
Is it too late to repent?
-
@RaceProUK Heaven's the same, but sung a semitone flat
-
@tufty Never has the phrase "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" rung more true…
-
@tufty Well, according to Good Omens, hell has all the good tunes, and heaven is like watching the sound of music forever.

How else will I know that I'm talking to myself?
-
@loopback0 @PleegWat that seems obvious.
-
@loopback0 Why do you ask? Do you frequently ignore yourself?
-
@PleegWat Actually self-mentions don't notify.
-
@RaceProUK said in No autocompletion for me:

Would I know if I did?
-
@loopback0 Magic!
Or something.
-
-
@ben_lubar better than that:
-
Test post, please ignore.
-
@Gąska this forum doesn't autocomplete your own username for some reason.
Luckily, I write my name all the time so it's not a problem if it doesn't autocomplete it...

Oye! I merged all of mine! :D

Status: Yup, I knew that's where the conversation would go. Noice.

If you spell it as semidemisemiquaver, then what is half of that? As far as I know, you have to spell it as semihemidemisemiquaver, not demisemidemisemiquaver

Or you could simply call them whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, thirty-second notes, sixty-fourth notes, hundred twenty-eighth notes, etc., like rational people do.

Dotted dotted dotted dotted dotted dotted dotted dotted dotted quarter rest.

@cark Not sure about 1/128ths, actually. It's one of those words, hemidemisemiquaver for the overpondians, semidemisemiquaver for english speakers. So it's probably demisemidemisemiquaver.
-
@ben_lubar adding dots makes a note longer, not shorter. And in the limit as the number of dots tends to infinity, you get the double the duration of the original note

Americans don't use those silly names at all; we use the fractional names. Most American musicians have heard the names, I suppose, but personally I couldn't tell you the difference between a quaver and crotchet without looking it up.
According to the always reliable source of all knowledge, there is a system of adding the prefixes to quavers (and the system seems to be the same for all who use the silly names):
semi quaver demi semi quaver hemi demi semi quaver semi hemi demi semi quaver demi semi hemi demi semi quaver hemi demi semi hemi demi semi quaver semi hemi demi semi hemi demi semi quaver demi semi hemi demi semi hemi demi semi quaver hemi demi semi hemi demi semi hemi demi semi quaver Of course, nobody actually uses notes that short except as a joke (I'm pretty sure this has been posted here before, but it's worth posting again: http://classicalconvert.com/2008/01/faeries-aire-and-death-waltz/), but that's how they'd be named.

@aliceif No. No it's not.
Gh0d, that was awful, and I only got as far as "Oh! Oh! Oh! How was I supposed to know that you were Oh! Oh! Over me"
Fuckawful Hüsker Dü clones.
