Windows Disk Cleanup just opened up a portal into a new dimension!

Windows has solved all the problems of quantum data storage. FINALLY! I never have to buy another hard drive again!
-
@SlenderPsycho It's just double/triple/quadruple or more counting space for hardlinked files.
The once news is getting old.
-
@cheong I remember seeing one where it listed the recycle bin as several million PB. Not 1 ZB because that would be too consistent.
-
Actually, I wonder if it's a bug related to specific drive sizes. One of my friends just posted something similar to this on Twitter this morning... right down to the 3.99TB number.
Incidentally, he also has a 120GB SSD as his C drive.
This is the image he posted:

@powerlord In a stunning twist, @SlenderPsycho turns out to be or have stolen the image from your friend

@Yamikuronue Couldn't have, the other numbers have different values.

I posted this (I think in the status thread) a while back. It's always the Windows Update Cleanup stuff. Doesn't happen very often... (On my fast-ring machine, I always run cleanup after an upgrade - hard drive is too small)

Wait, we're allowed to use Photoshop for these?
Okay: LOL WIDOWZ SUXXORS! It can't do maths and LOL M$ engineers like Linux

@cheong If the drive has 87.9GB of real data, to reach 4TB you'd need each file to be counted an average of 45.3 times.
Methinks a bug is more likely. Not that counting files several times shouldn't be considered a bug in the first place.
-
And here I thought I stumbled upon the answer to my data storage problems. Interesting to see it's a somewhat widespread bug, though not surprising in the least.

If we followed a pattern in our naming of the magnitudes, then programs would be able to be consistent without adding another magnitude's name to a hardcoded list every 3 years or so.

Hmm...I'm tempted to start looking for the most unlikely post to downvote and then do the needful.

I can walk fairly well, maximum 3.6 MPH without requiring a faster gait pattern.
But I don't often maintain such a speed by default...

Yeah, I really should be jogging or whatever, but merely walking that fast typically causes my heart-rate to increase to 137 on an incline of 4 degrees...
