Mobile composer ignores alphanumeric characters

The issue seems to appear after quoting text or pasting in text/URLs, but does not seem to consistently occur. Once "activated," neither typing manually nor swyping will enter the characters, but interestingly, other characters like , and . will show up just fine. The issue persists until the browser tab is closed and reloaded.

Something like this happened to me the other day. I'd just changed keyboard software and thought it was that, but switching to another keyboard didn't change anything.
