How many times could you eat the same meal?
-
I heard that once upon a time, my grandpa and grandma were returning to mainland China to visit relatives, and my uncle cooked two week straight of "Beef ball and fish ball rice vermicelli" three times a day.
Since it was summer holiday, my cousins didn't get a chance to eat anything outside. When my grandpa and grandma returns, both of my cousins got "rice vermicelli"-phobia.

Ah, yes, a dish that takes longer to eat than to cook. Add a bit of chicken bouillon for flavouring and you're done.
"beef ball and fish ball spagetti" was a regular meal when I was a student

According to that video I've seen on the Internet, two is a hard limit.
Filed under: according to that other movie, it depends on how many people you can stitch together

And for a more serious answer: I can go for months eating the same kind of thing over and over. Unlike most people here, I'm very much not a fan of cooking - so once I find myself something that gives me enough calories and nutrients and requires minimal preparation, I'll stuff the fridge full of it and forget about trying something different.
I used to stick to a single evening meal per day for a while as well, but it only works if you make it a routine. Start going out for lunches with your team, and your stomach starts to complain at 1PM.

TUCKER: This is one of the first pressure points T'Pol worked on. Helped me get through many a night.
COLE: Feels great. Too bad this can't be a part of our training routine.
TUCKER: You should bring it up with Hayes.
COLE: His training regimen hasn't changed since I joined up. Major Hayes likes consistency.
TUCKER: So does Malcolm. He told me that while he was in Starfleet training, he ate the exact same three meals every day for a year.
COLE: They're definitely cut from the same cloth.

@Lorne-Kates I'm mostly very keen on variation; having the same dinner twice within a month is a bad thing in my book. However, the exception to this is breakfast, where I can have the exactly identical thing every single day for months. (You can't really go far wrong with granola, yogurt and fresh fruit juice, followed by coffee a bit later in the morning.)

I have the same breakfast every weekday (oats with honey and a mug of milk), the only difference being whether I heat the milk - and even that only changes twice a year with the seasons. I usually have the same lunch on a weekday: marmite roll on wholemeal bread, a carrot and 1/4 of a cucumber cut into 12 sticks each (to be eaten alternately), 1/6 of a melon (nearly always cantaloupe, but sometimes they run out when I do my weekly shop and I have to settle for galia), and an apple, a pear, and some nuts and raisins which I may or may not eat. The only reason that's limited to weekdays is because I tend not to eat proper meals on weekends.
I do occasionally vary that, though. Sometimes I swap the roll for 6 multigrain crackers and either have 24 small chunks of cheese to eat with the crackers or half a pot of hoummus to eat with the carrot and cucumber. (1 piece of cucumber/carrot [dipped in hoummus], 1/4 of a cracker [with a piece of cheese] 1 piece of carrot/cucumber [dipped in hoummus], 1/4 of a cracker [with a piece of cheese]. x12). But I could quite happily not do that and just eat my normal lunch every day.
As for dinner, I do vary that but I have a recipe for vegetable stew/sauce that I make in the biggest saucepan I can find and then eat every day for a week and put some in the freezer. I could live off that, with pasta and some grated cheddar on top, quite happily and it would be a pretty balanced diet, for weeks at least. I could also happily eat vegetable lasagne every day but a) although I wouldn't actually get scurvy I'd probably put on a lot of weight and b) it's a bl**dy pain to make.

breakfast's the same for me every day, so..... if we're just talking one meal a day being the same...... twenty years? not counting the days where for one reason or another breakfast didn't happen?
-
I eat the same things for years, don't get sick of it, and get annoyed when I have to eat something different.
