Anybody else having trouble with Google Search Console?
-
I've got one dinky little page I made managed on Google Search Console, and it is already verified and works okay. Just yesterday, I tried to add another dinky little page on a new domain that I put up. Except when I click "verify this property", it goes into a redirect loop and never shows me anything. I get the same thing if I go to verification details on the page that's already set up too, so I'm pretty sure that it can't be something on the server that Google doesn't like. Analytics is already set up and working there also.
I have no idea what could possibly be wrong. Naturally, all of the help docs are useless, and it's impossible to talk to anybody at Google. Has anybody used search console verify in the last few days, and is it working right for you? Any ideas what to try?

Clear cache?
Might be an issue with cached redirects not dying.

Try it in a different browser. That's the easiest way to check whether your cache is fucked up somehow.

Caching is a bitch. Things get cached at the browser, at the TCP/IP stack, at the proxy, at the router, at the backbone server, at the content switch, at the web server, at the web application...

@error I think it's actually more likely to be fucked up cookies than fucked up cache.

Just finished setting up my other computer, tried it on that, and it worked right away. Pesky caches grumble grumble...
