The painful break up thread

@Captain So don't make it a long break up. Make it a short one. Go to Las Vegas for a week, it's not that expensive. When you get back it'll all be solved.

Also birthdays are dumb. "Oh wow you managed to go yet another year without somehow dying. Let's have a party!" Like anybody wants to live another year.

Oh, definitely. I don't known the brands very well, but I've generally found that something like $8 per shot is a good price point at a bar. Would probably be about $30 for a bottle in a liquor store?

@Dragnslcr The best tequila I've ever had was in an unlabeled bottle I got from my grandfather. Apparently, he had been in Mexico before I was even born and received it as a gift. Never found anything like it here in Europe. Most stores here only carry one brand (Sierra), which is beyond disgusting and only kinda-ok in cocktails.

There are usually at least a few different brands of tequila in liquor stores in the US. Typically, you get what you pay for. If you spend $10 on a bottle, it's going to be terrible, a $20 bottle will be okay, and a $30 bottle should be pretty good.

Mexico is, of course, on a completely different level when it comes to tequila.

I'm sorry for you, that really sucks. My partner of six years ran off with a YouTube 'celebrity' last year. I wish so hard I was joking about that last bit.
Best thing was that I picked her up from the airport, drove her home while talking about how much I'd missed her and then she told me it was over and walked straight back out of the door. If I'd know I have made her bloody walk back from London.

As always it gets better slowly. A drink helps as long as it isn't the whole bottle.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said. Good to know someone is listening.

Btw, when this guy has a point, it's similar to the way Trump does. He just spouts bullshit in an offensive way and even when sometimes it does stick, the way he expresses it makes you think only one thing: "wow, what an asshole."

We absolutely NEED assholes on occasion. Churchill was probably the best timed asshole ever. (Second was Patton, but he was a little looney too. He predicted Russia though.... so.... that's credit...)

Whether this asshole needs to be President at this moment in time, is debatable.

I'm looking for a more refined asshole. Someone that's going to tell other countries to fuck off if they want us to bend over and take it, but not go around offending everyone all the time.

It would be entertaining to have a President that successfully deals with a lot of shit for a long time, only to get plastered, go on with a state address and tell everyone "Fuck you guys, I'm going home."

In all seriousness when my first anniversary rolls around I'm considering suggesting that we celebrate this instead. Should push the responsibility for me to remember a date off by, oh, a couple years more at least. Maybe forever.
