Dismissing mobile menu

I first noticed this when doing the "I just barely shifted my finger left while scrolling" thing on mobile, but it is definitely noticable when hiding the pop-out menu on mobile:
Notice how the posts pverlap the menu? It stays like that for a second before the menu hidesnitself. Quite annoying, especially when I don't mean to make the menu appear.
