I know. Is there something in my post that indicates otherwise?
Did you guys ever read the Rama series by Arthur C Clarke and some other dude whose name I can't remember? It has one passage that describes how the computer on Rama works, and how every bit of information is basically hyperlinked to all of the information required to understand that information. So it'd be like if you got a PDF file on the web, but embedded in the PDF was the configuration of the computer that generated it, all of the engineers involved in your motherboard's design, their family trees, etc.
Anyway, whenever I fail to state a fact I know, and then someone comes by and "helpfully" informs me of that fact, I always wonder if I should be communicating the way the Rama computer does. Maybe that's the only way to prevent that from happening.

They're one of the flagship Discourse installs
And they've got 18000+ posts in a single topic?! UNPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!

But only 2 likes ...

Nope.

Discotwo. The counter at the top is clearly broken as the first reply has more than that.

Hacking the likes column into their topic list reveals something unsettling ...

So, who's going to report that bug?

Gentry Lee's the other bloke. And if anyone here hasn't read the Rama books, hand in your geek card; you'll get it back when you've read them.

It's not a bug. It's just that every post that gets a like gets deleted, For Performance Reasons. Of course, Dipshoe still COUNTS the likes in that column, because only bots can see that column and bots don't exist.

But since you did not include this information, others may have found @aliceif 's information relevant and interesting. I know I did.
