Global literacy is a problem, it must be stamped out...
-
After that's sorted, perhaps we can sort out the problem of illiteracy....
-
Your apparent inability to understand simple variations in style may well be a symptom of the world's literacy problem.
I can only assume that I'd you saw a headline with the term "oil crisis, " you would somehow assume it meant that there was too much oil..
-
Next time you explain Oracle's NoSQL tech, we understand why that is.

You appear to think this was placed in anywhere except the "Funny Stuff" category.
May I suggest that until you find your sense of humour, you browse the other categories instead?

Hell yeah. Let's tackle global oil... wait, what?

too much oil actually is a crisis...for OPEC nations, but not anyone else.

I hear you can get medicine to help with acne these days...

Ok three images.
The first has a wrong headline but correct first sentence. EDIT: actually I take that back, it's identical to the second one which can easily be expanded to "literacy problem".
The second merely says "tackle global literacy", which could be expanded to "global literacy problem", which is fine.
The third specifically says, "global literacy crisis", which is fine.
So the only troublesome one is (possibly) the first, and it could be a fucking typo for all I know.
And I'm the one people here think is like Rain Man or something when it comes to understanding written text.

Well, that's only because you always pretend you can't understand it.
Here's a hint, though, nobody so far hasn't understood it--@pjh was making fun of the wording, suggesting it was saying literacy, not illiteracy, is the problem the articles are talking about.
HTH HAND

<non-funny pedantry elided>
You know how you complain when people post non-help posts in your help threads?
Or offer help in your non-help threads.
Or basically piss you off in whatever thread it is because of whatever it is that's pissing you off today?
This is a humour thread. Don't come back and post here until you find your humour. Or have something funny to contribute.
Alternatively, if you think you had it to start with, but simply don't find the thread funny.... don't post at all in this thread and simply ignore it. Your blood pressure would probably appreciate it....

Pointing out the OP is not funny is funnier than the OP.
But hey whatever. Mute.

I am suddenly reminded of a bit George Carlin used to do about "National Drug Abuse Week", which he claimed sounded like "if you're not already into drugs, get started right away!"
