Brave Browser -- Discuss

  • Looks like it is basically Firefox, but with Ad-Block and Ghostery baked-in.
They say they will eventually allows non-intrusive ads, but for now, no ads.

    Thoughts?

  • Let's see... I could use a browser that was made by the people who made Firefox, or I could not do that and use an extension to get the exact same thing, with the added bonus that it works on my dhromebook.

I'll stick with Chrome and uBlock Origin

  • No mention of tech specs, or beta downloads. But github repo seems to be based on Electron. Meaning it's probably just a reskined chrome.

They don't mention any other features or benefits. Seems all they do is package an add block with the browser (maybe give it a bit deeper integration on desktop).

    Fail.
