Google Translates Dota 2 "need: the energy of the ball" "price: 75 money"

  • Comparison: dota2.com versus dota2.com.cn with Google Translate.

  • @PJH did Discourse fuck up the <details> or is that a TDWTF-specific thing in response to some exploit?

  • I don't see any obvious problems in the baked source. I'm guessing all the <div class="lightbox-wrapper"> stuff just doesn't work inside a <details> block.

  • <details> has been broken for a while now.

    no, it works just fine in the details tag.

    or it would if discourse actually put it where it was supposed to.

    correction. this one's on @ben_lubar

    he forgot the required summary tag

    Hi!
    <details>

    It's not required.

    TIL. I don't think I've ever used <details> myself, and I didn't know that is required.

    Um, TIDidn'tL, or something. Now I is confuzzled.

  • It is on Discourse.

    details[open]>summary:first-of-type ~ *,
    details.open>summary:first-of-type ~ * {
        display: block;
    }

    details>*,
    details .lightbox-wrapper {
        display: none;
    }

    Those are in the desktop CSS file, not any customization we did.

    I don't even .... :facepalm: At least I'm now unconfuzzled, just once again amazed at how Discourse goes out of its way to reject perfectly valid input that doesn't follow its arbitrary rules for being "civilized."

  • If you put a resized image in the summary, it hides it using CSS. Which means that I can do this:

    -shrug- it is for discourse, and every IE/HTML5/details shim i've ever used treats it as required as well.

    it might not be de jure required but it's probably best to treat it as de facto required.
