Polish alternatives to Santa

Well, I guess it's only funny to me, @Maciejasjmj and @wft, but I think the rest of you will find this little piece of trivia interesting nonetheless.
-
... The Little Baby Jesus? Is there some background information on that area you would like to share? Is that where all the sarcastic Jews live?
-
Well, Dzieciątko is a fairly popular term for Jesus during Christmas, often used in carols and other Christian writings. Honestly, it doesn't sound that bad in the original as it sounds in translation. But the idea that it's Jesus who puts presents under the Christmas tree is just crazy. But it's the kind of crazy you would expect from Silesians.
-
Germany also has the "Weihnachtsmann" or the "Christkind", depending on culture / geography.
With the "Weihnachtsmann" being Santa with a cooler name (Christmas Man!) and the "Christkind" being either some random female angel or baby Jesus himself, depending on whom you ask.
We don't have these walking around, though:

Where's the chart for people who responded "my family, silly poll person"?

I remember having a photo of graffiti "Jebać goroli" from Piekary Śląskie. I'd attach it if I had the picture around.
Disclaimer: I'm not a hanys.

i should hope not. otherwise we'd need to find Ness, Paula Poo and Jeff Andonuts to save the day

The only christmas present-bringer I'm familiar with in The Netherlands is Santa, who I believe visits about 50% of homes. We also have Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) who comes on 5 December and also visits about 50% of homes. Mostly the same 50%.
-
In some LATAM countries you have the same thing. Baby Jesus (El niño Jesús) is the one who brings gifts instead of Santa or the three kings.

We don't have atheists in Poland.
-
Forget "Star-man" bringing me presents, I want someone to bring me a Starman as a present. Then all the jerks around here can kiss my shiny invincible ass.

We also have Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) who comes on
56 DecemberFTFY
There is also Sint-Maarten on 11/11 but that is terribly local.

I always thought so too, but that definition of local never went anywhere near Flanders. Kids (<12) going door-to-door for candy. Might be compared to halloween, which we don't really get like that around here.
-
Around Aalst and some other places it really replaces Sinterklaas.
-
huh, yeah, that's local.
