Invalid Packet Lenght
-
I'm trying to enable SSL communication between the Thin JDBC driver and Oracle.
Handshake looks successful, then it shows this exception:
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Invalid Packet LenghtNot only is that a spelling mistake, but it doesn't tell me anything about what I could be doing incorrectly. I certainly don't do anything at the packet level.

... it doesn't tell me anything about what I could be doing incorrectly.
My guess is that you aren't paying for $500/hour consultants to do tasks that should be simple.

Wireshark it, maybe?

Wireshark it, maybe?
Is this the help forum? Was I asking for help?
Actually, it turns out that the version of the Oracle JDBC library I was using has a bug.
Upgraded to the latest and that issue goes away.

Also, who on earth posts about a problem they're having on a tech forum without expecting someone to either offer to help or (less common) having someone curious as to what was going on under the hood?

It was a joke. The whole "I didn't ask for help" thing is a meme here because of Blakeyrat.

Oh jeez. Whoosh. Didn't realize that.
