Which Nintendu should I buy?
-
I want to buy a video game console that lets me play Mario, Paper Mario, Mario Party, Zelda, and Smash Bros. Ideally, I'd like to be able to download retro games on it, including Mario, Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Mother, etc. And Bluray.
What should I get?

A PC with an emulator?

Wii U hits almost all the marks - it doesn't play blurays AFAIK.

I own a Wii U, and use it for playing Smash Bros, Mario Party, Mario (2D&3D) and the old Zelda games. Nintendo has been re-releasing a lot of other old games for the "Virtual console" (built-in emulator) lately. Seems like that's exactly what you want.
The only thing it doesn't support is Blu-ray. But it has apps for Amazon Prime and Netflix, so I don't really care.

Also, if you get a Wii U, make sure you buy Splatoon. Because for the first time, Nintendo actually managed to make an online multiplayer game that rocks. (And this is coming from a person who usually hates online games.)

There is only one Nintendo console, is this a joke or...?

I suppose the 3DS, Wii, and all their predecessors never existed then.

I've found matchmaking on Splatoon to be fairly poor. Kinda turned me off of the game.

I'm pretty sure Blakey was referring to the NES, and saying that all the ones afterwards weren't worth considering.

BULLSHIT!
SNES was OK.

Let me get this straight - you're asking people reading your post whether what you've posted is a joke or... whatever the alternative is?
