Aaaaaaand <s>2</s>3 more discobugs for me (and for your amusement)

  • I don't think they've been discovered before - at least, discosearch turned up nothing. I hit these yesterday.

One is an issue with BBMarkTML. I don't think it's directly exploitable.

As long as there are no blank lines in the quote or the text following it, including before or after the following text, a quote hides teh following text *if that text is immediately followed by a code block.

This text will be hidden. It may have callouts, for example @mikeTheLiar, @tufty, @boomzilla
    multiple lines,
inline code and pretty much anything else apart from blank lines.
Such is the way of things when you rely on regular expressions for parsing.
This is a code block.

The code block itself may have any form you like, including blank lines.
Amusingly, I found another one when formatting this post. Posting the same block above directly after the line with "Result:" in it, with no intervening blank line hides the quote block as well.

The other one is a discoursistency with sorting and pinned topics. List a category that has pinned topics. Sort by activity, up and / or down. Note how pinned topics stay pinned. Now sort by something else, say number of replies. Marvel at how the pinned topics are no longer pinned.

  • You should report it on meta.d.

  • No I shouldn't. Nor should you.

  • This is a stupid bug caused by a stupid internal API.

    No, you shouldn't report it.

  • This is my code block. There are many like it, but this one is mine,,,

    See raw, as always.

  • SockDev

backslash escaping works in inliie code blocks?

    why am i not surprised?

  • BINNED

It gets better. Type something like this and watch the preview:

    This `is\` a test of `broken`.

that depends entirely on wether it generates a notification or not.
